Recently, there has been significant concern regarding the authenticity of creative work. Many artists are facing accusations of relying on AI to produce their creative work. Photographers are criticized for “photoshopping” their submissions; entertainers are being replaced by CGI and AI-generated likenesses and voices; and writers of novels, poetry, articles, and blogs are alleged to use AI and other software to create their work.

Forbes recently published an article titled “The End Of Originality: Is AI Replacing Real Artists?” In it, the author says, “Creatives now grapple with questions about their place in this new world. If machines can emulate or surpass human creativity, what becomes of an artist’s skills or unique voice? They’re questioning the relevance of their education, the value of their skills and future job prospects in an AI-dominated world.”

God placed a gift and talent in each of us; something so uniquely special that only we can fulfill. Within that gift is the touch of God Himself. He will guide each person and bring to them the very thing He wants them to know and create. The Almighty Creator imagined the universe, and by faith, spoke it into being. Everything we see today, He created.

AI is not a surprise to God. And as with everything imagined and created, it is always meant for helping advance His kingdom. Never compare what you and the Lord create with anything that is done with AI. With that in mind, the author of the Forbes articles states: “human imagination need not be overwritten if we recognize AI for what it is—a tool to expand possibilities.” And those possibilities are far greater in helping advance the Kingdom of God. Our spirits hearing from Him is holy, and can never be replaced by AI.
